My love for jewellery and all things that sparkle began at a very young age. As a third-generation jewellery enthusiast, the world of gems and watches was a frequent topic at our Sunday Family dinners. My grandfather was a watch executive with a deep passion for his craft, while my father started his journey in watches before transitioning to become a representative for diamonds and coloured stones. His move into diamonds came at a pivotal time for me.....right as I was graduating with a history degree and pondering my next steps. When gemmology was introduced to me, it felt like fate. The connection between history, legacy and the intricate world of gemstones was a match made in heaven.
With my gemmology education, I ventured into appraisals but soon found my true joy in helping others understand the beauty and significance of gemstones. The deeper I delved into the history of stones, the more my passion grew. I began helping friends edit their jewelllery collections, which evolved into something special. One memorable evening over a glass of wine, I helped a friend merge four inherited rings into one stunning piece. The result was a beautiful connection to her family's rich history...something she treasures and shares stories about everyday.
I quickly realized that jewellery, much like books, is a great conversation starter. A compliment on a beautiful piece often unearths stories that are tied to loved ones or unforgettable experiences. Jewellery isn't just about aesthetics; it's a vessel for legacy, emotion, and history.
From these personal experiences, I've developed a deep appreciation for how jewellery allows legacies to be passed on, refreshed, or even reimagined after life changes like divorce or loss. Whether it's appraising a collection, organizing repairs, helping clients release pieces that no longer serve them, or transforming heirlooms into something new. I offer support in editing jewellery collections. My services ensure that each piece finds its rightful place.....whether that means staying within the family, being reimagined, or passed on when the time is right.
